The emblem embodying microscope ,gear,chimney,open-book lamp and the dove has deeper significance.While the open book symbolises warm welcome to the world of infinite knowledge,the burning lamp which stands for enlightenment not only dispels the darkness of ignorance but also suggests spiritual illumination as the ultimate goal .The gear ,chimney and the ship symbolise the gradual transiting of maritime Orissa into an industrial state with the microscope inspiring generations of budding educated youngsters to a part of scientific research and analysis as an economic panacea to poverty ridden Orissa.The picture of the dove as an image of peace and tranquillity is a much needed philosophy in the post war scenario where as the inscription "TAMASO MANG JYOTIRGAMAYA" makes an humble submission to the launch humanity unto the path of enlightement & redemption.
To provide qualitative higher education to the rural youth to enhance their socio econimic culture development at a lower price and to transform our college into an ideal place of learning.
